Report on 9mm Largo ammunition:
The ammunition was tested on March 26, 2000 in Harmony, ME, at Surplus International LLCs facility. Information was gathered by Dan Shea, Technical Editor of Small Arms Review. Chronograph was a DillonMillenium.
9mm Largo Manufactured in Spain by Empressa Nacional Santa Barbara.

All cartridges tested out satisfactory. Test firearms were: 1921 Astra 5.5"bbl, Star Super 5.25" bbl, Destroyer Carbine 17" bbl, and Star Z-45 submachinegun 7.75" bbl.
1962 dated boxes: included some 1961 dated cartridge cases, but were primarily 1962.This ammunition used corrosive Berdan primers and will require cleaning of the firearmsafter use with a cleaner that counteracts the corrosive chemicals. Packaged 25 per cdbdbox, 1000 rds per sealed steel can in wood cs.
1969 dated boxes: cartridges are 1966 to69 dated, and were non-corrosive, using Berdanprimers. This ammunition was the most consistent on the chronograph, and the mostaccurate. Packaged 25 per cdbd box, 1000 rds per sealed steel can in wood cs.
1977 dated boxes: cartridge cases are mid 1970s dated, mostly 1977. The boxes aremarked "No corrosivo, no erosivo" and the cartridges are non corrosive, Berdanprimed. Packaged 25 per cdbd box, 2000 rds per sealed steel can inwood cs.
